The opening on the opposite side of the tape pullout.** A: The peg at end of tape fits into the hole on tape container and then you press the button on the container and it tightens the tape automatically, giving you a much more accurate reading than holding by hand. It locks it in place so that when you remove the peg, your measurement is still showing. I first saw them at a Weight Loss Clinic and they used them to get more consistency between folks doing the measuring. **Q: Is the vinyl material cloth like? Can you use it to measure length of baby and garments?** A: It's more vinyl-ish than cloth like. And it's meant to measure circumference. You can use it to measure straight distances, but you'll have to start measuring at the 2-inch mark and subtract 2 from the length you find. I have used it to measure my baby's length for clothes measurements in a pinch (my mom keeps sewing him outfits though she lives long-distance), but I usually use a regular cloth measuring tape if I can find mine. This particular measuring tape is not a sewing measuring tape. If that's what you're primarily looking for, I would recommend getting something else. This measuring tape does work well for tracking fitness goals-- watch those inches changing. It also works very well for measuring yourself for fitted garments. **Q: would this measure in centimeters?** A: Both inches ,and centimeters are on the tape measure. Inches on one half centimeters on the other, very handy Indeed.update....I'm in New Jersey, can't get more in USA then that, and mine definitely has both inches, and centimeters ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Measuring tape *by Z***H on 11 August 2024* Arrived on time. Good tape and easy to use ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good purchase *by M***Y on 16 April 2019* It does what it promises. Easy to use and way more accurate than a regular tape ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Makes measuring around your arms much easier! *by J***H on 18 March 2014* After being advised by my PT to take regular photos and measure my upper arms, thighs, hips and waist every week to show non-scale weight loss progress, I did a lot of research into tapes that would be durable, portable (I travel a lot) and would make the whole measurement process quick and easy. I've been using Myotape alongside an iPhone app called Bodytrack.it for 3 years now, and I can't recommend them highly enough. Not only does the hook-around feature on the tape ensure you're consistent with your readings, but it negates all the faff associated with trying to measure your biceps one-handed! I've reached my target now but I still take it all around the world with me and as long as I keep on measuring and logging my results and photos on the app, I know I won't go too far off track. Durability-wise it has been excellent, although I have had to order a new one as the nobble has just come off the end of tape. However, seeing as it has been used every week - and sometimes on a daily basis - for 3 years, I think that's more than acceptable. Top marks all round. ## Frequently Bought Together - MyoTape Body Measure Tape - Arms Chest Thighs or Waist Measuring Tape for Personal Trainer or Home Fitness Goals - Accu-Measure Fitness 3000 Body Fat Caliper - GDMINLO Soft Tape Measure Double Scale Body Sewing Flexible Tailor Craft Vinyl Ruler for Weight Loss Medical Body Measurement, Has Centimetre Scale on Reverse Side 60-inch（White） --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/307697431-accufitness-myotape-body-tape-measure](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/307697431-accufitness-myotape-body-tape-measure) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
