Directions say to neutralize after 2 to 20 minutes? What does that mean neutalize with what???** A: I was kind of afraid to use it full strength so I cut it in half with water - 1 oz glycolic acid with 1 oz water in a small bowl. I prepared a mixture of 1-1/2 cups water mixed with 2 tbsp of baking soda in a large bowl to neutralize the acid. I applied the acid to my face with gauze pads. (Or you can use a fan brush). After two minutes I was done, meaning I couldn't take the stinging anymore. I splashed my face with the water/baking soda mixture. I then used cold water on a facecloth to cool down my skin. Once your face dries, use a moisturizer. Please use caution when using this peel. I suggest you do some research on the net to see how other people apply this. There's lots of info out there. If you've never used a glycolic peel before, you may want to start off with keeping it on for a minute. You'll know what I mean once you apply it.
