Im on my 2nd Smartwash in 7 years and still LOVE IT model #FH52000. My attachments were accidentally donated or lost and I really wanted to do my couch, car and stairs again. I found my original hose and still needed the handheld attachments... so thank you AMZN THIS DOES FIT AND WORKS GREAT!. I m not a by far a pro at videos and I am including one to point out some very good tips for those who don't know these little things. Plus a couple photos. In a photo I want to make it a point! There is a very thin O ring where the hose connects. Ill bet most ppl dont think about cleaning out the attachment hole even when not using an attachment. DO NOT LOSE THE O ring. It is vitally important both for suction weather using for regular steam cleaning or attaching the hose. If you lose it? Replace it. The solution I have always used, even tho a Hoover Smartwash, is the Blue Pet solution by B-ssel with the green cap and it smells nice and fresh not overwhelming nor lingering. Since I do not get paid for any promos, understanding Hoover makes a great machine....but the solution ... well. The "B pet solution is concentrated so I mix the solution 2/3 solution with 1 part water. Fit the attachment hose in till you feel a slight click. Add the spin scrub attachment on the other end and turn it on. It has very good power to scrub and sucks the dirt out very well. By tipping the head back a bit to just use the suction without wearing out the bristless and making sure to get that dirty water out, which is the whole point. When done, rinse your hose out and the attachment. Make sure to clean the hose attachment hole out on your machine with a little water or rag. MAKE SURE THAT O RING IS STILL THERE AND CLEAN. The attachment cover on the machine should close by itself or just snap back to close all the way. Press the latch on the side of the hose to release it don't yank it out and ruin your machine or hose. Take the attachment off carefully. Lift the clear plastic latch up to release over the black locking pin on the hose IT DOESN'T JUST PULL OFF. Hope this helps, Im enjoying my nice fresh couch. Should be completely dry by 3-6 hours with a fan.
