All of my phone cases for my iPhone 13 Pro Max have metal plates attached to them for use in my car, so I thought this would work just the same on the magnet pad on the CloudValley phone holder. It didn't hold well at all! I was disappointed, thinking the magnets were not strong enough on the new phone holder. Luckily, I had noticed the MagSafe style metal rings that were included with my new phone holder. I popped one of the thick magnetic plates off one of my cases and installed the included metal ring. Wow - what a difference! It holds like a vice and works great!
