Review: This product is great if you are doing interval training or hill runs etc The tone is noisy enough to hear when you have a headphone in as well. Programmes can be easily set and saved if you are following a training regime where you are going to repeat the sets saved. I would highly recommend. Also small enough to either put in your pocket or clip onto your jacket or running tights.

Das Teil funktioniert gut, es ist ein wirklich strenger Trainer. Leicht einzustellen, leicht zu starten. Ich trainiere abends Zuhause eine Runde, da habe ich den leisen Piep eingestellt. Beleuchtung könnte noch dabei sein, wäre nett. Am Schluss gibt's mehrere unregelmäßige Pieps. Seltsam, aber egal. Ich habe noch einen zweiten für andere programmierte Zeiten bestellt, dann brauche ich nicht umstellen. Ich trainiere, derzeit, 40 sec Training, 20 sec Pause, 4 Wiederholungen. Mein derzeitiges Reha Programm nach Verletzung. Seit ich das Gerät habe, gehts aufwärts.

**Q: I want to do a 5-minute warm up walk followed by 7 one-minute runs with 2 minute walks and a 5-minute cool down.  Will it do that?**
A: You could walk for 5 minutes and then turn on your gym boss set for two intervals= one minute and two minutes.....do your run / walk intervals then turn it off and walk your five minute cool down

**Q: Does anyone know how this model compares with the older model? Did they improve the quality/usability, or is it just aesthetically different?**
A: After using old and new version here is my conclusion:The old version was good; loud, strong vibrations, easy to use and small. But it had its issues the battery cover would frequently fall off and the belt clip would break off too easily when it was in your gym bag or if you knocked it while exercising.Thankfully the new version seems to have addressed these problems. They have made it so the belt clip is removable so it won't break in your gym bag and having looked at the clip itself it seems more solid so it seems like this will be much more hard wearing. Been using the new model for about 2 months 6 days a week and no issues. Hope that helps

**Q: How long does the battery life last - will it go longer than 5 hours in one run?**
A: Yes, the battery will last longer than 5 hours for one run.  I used the Gymboss for my long runs on the weekend and completed a marathon and quite honestly I don't remember the last time I had to change the battery!

**Q: Can you set it so it only vibrates but does not make a sound?**
A: Yes; when going through the set-up phase,get to the point where the "Bv" or "bv" (beep-vibrate) is flashing. Then simply push the top-left button until only the "v" shows.

This is the second timer I have bought because the first one my daughter asked if she can have once she saw how it works. I love this timer for interval workouts, or even tabatas. I have even just used as a basic timer when I was doing a non related activity. Definitely recommend.
