A: This is a high quality potting mix for houseplants.  It will work for a wide range of houseplants.  I don’t have any African violets, but a have about 100 plants.  It works well for all of themI

**Q: Is this a fast draining soil?**
A: Most potting soil you buy at regular stores is not that great, and this mix is the one that was suggested by a botanist/gardener who sells specialty plants and tropical fruit plants.  you don't have to use this for plants that do not need special care or are planted in the ground, but it is essential for potted plants, tropical plants, indoor plants and plants that needs draining, among other things.
