Review: Apple Smoking Pellets Very Good! - I love the smoke of apple, and these Myron Mixon pellet I was a little worried because they were 16.99 for a 20 lbs bag and not a single review!, So far these are good, I have not smoked this pellet all by its self but the quality seems to be there. Just smoked a Pork Butt for 44 hours and I used about 10 lbs of the Apple, some Cherry, peacan, and a small touch of Hickory not much though, and I will say the smoke ring was perfect and almost 3/4 of an inch. Best Pork butt I've ever tasted! The bark was amazing. I'm giving 5 stars because it is as good or better than the lumber jack, and quite a bit better than the perfect mix, stronger smoke flavor. I will update this once I use it more to see if I see a change. Oh ya right after I took the pork butt of tonight I put on fresh not frozen Salmon and used it along with lumber jack Cherry. It was the best Salmon I've ever made, I have had better Salmon, only because they cold smoked it before they put it on the grill. I"m going to try and learn how to cold smoke next! Lots to learn :) Hope this review was helpful is you are looking at buying these pellets I would say try a tree you have used other pellets before and compare then write your own review. Only "issue" is that I have read that some other users are getting 12ish hours of smoke using other pellets with the A-MAZE-N tray, however I only got about 9.
