Strings are designed for a certain length neck, pitch, and tension. The diameter of the string affects the pitch, too. These strings are designed for a Baritone length neck, but with D-G-B-E tuning. If you wanted the tuning to be standard G-C-E-A, you would have to make the tension either really loose or really tight. Either of them would probably be unacceptable to be able to play the ukulele. If you tuned them too tight, they may break, or even put too much tension on your ukulele, possibly affecting the bridge.
