Black hand got stuck on Red hand straight away. Had to adjust both red hand and black hand several times on the first day. Now the black hand keeps getting stuck. Got this for personal use since I swim lots of 5 and 10K meter straight swims, and I really need the minute hand for keeping track of laps. My pool manager is nice enough to let me store it under a cabinet, but it is small enough to carry in and out if necessary. This 14 inch face is nicely visible from up to about 10 yards at water level when doing flip turns (with 68 year old eyes wearing goggles), so I try to use the first three or four lanes. So far performs flawlessly. It is nice to have a button to turn the clock off without having to remove the battery. Well constructed, and seems to have pretty good resistance to splashed water. The plate at the bottom that can be pulled out to widen the base and help with wind resistance is a plus for me when outside. It's not heavy, probably less than 10 pounds. I don't actually know if those dimensions make it overhead storage compatible. That strip is attached to the switch. The most simple defect would be if the strip simply fell out of the battery compartment when your clock flipped over. Just open the battery cover, then reinsert the strip between the battery and the contact and that might fix your problem. If not that, then go to the weblink above and try all the other things. For instance, If you remove the strip and reinstall the battery and the clock runs (constantly) then it's a problem with your switch circuit. Otherwise, it's something in the clock motor or the hands are overlapping. Good Luck! **Q: Where is this clock made?** A: I have no idea but it works well, batteries last as long as turned off but it is way smaller than photo indicates. Definitely single lane clock, cannot be seen by multiple lanes **Q: Can this clock be submerged under water?** A: No, it cannot. I purchased this clock - and found it, basically, to be a piece of junk. It's a very simple push button on/off switch but it broke almost immediately.
