Well made and fairly comfortable when used as a backpack. The extension makes it roomier and definitely more comfortable for the pet with plenty of mesh windows for them to look out of. There is a strong smell when you first unpack it which seems to come from the mesh. It does go away after a while but I was able to speed up the process by leaving the bag outside in fresh air for a few days, and wiping the mesh periodically with a damp microfiber sprayed with a tiny bit of Mrs. Murphy’s. When I put the backpack on with the cat in it, I can feel that the bottom is still flat, but hanging at an angle. I have to put my hands underneath as I wear it to make the cat feel secure.Zippers work great. Like that you can open the cover of the top to see. When I pop open the side, the cat can lay down and rest.
