The Pentek Pentair DGD-7525-20 is a 20-inch whole house sediment filter cartridge featuring advanced dual-gradient density spun polypropylene technology. It delivers up to three times the dirt holding capacity of standard filters, fits all 20" Big Blue housings, and is NSF certified to ensure clean, odorless, and chemical-resistant water filtration for residential and commercial use.

## Description

DGD Series Cartridges are manufactured from 100% pure polypropylene and are sized for use in Pentair Pentek Big Blue Filter Housings. DGD Series Cartridges are designed for purity and will not impart taste, odor or color to the liquid being filtered. Additionally, the polypropylene construction provides superior chemical resistance. The DGD Series' advanced design combines selective final filtration with appropriate pre-filtration to achieve up to three times the dirt holding capacity of similar size sediment cartridges and even greater capacity than standard spun or string-wound cartridges. The larger diameter of the filter reduces the particle load, allowing it to operate at higher velocities. The effective filter depth is increased to a full 233%. This increased depth provides very high particulate reduction efficiencies and added loading capacity. The design and performance characteristics of the DGD Series Cartridges make them an excellent choice for all residential, rural, municipal and commercial applications.

The filter gets dirty but the water stays clean. I usually clean it or change it about every six months depending on how dirty the water is. It has been working well so far and seems like good quality.

**Q: what is the recommended manufacture filter change. or the life span of the filter how many gallons?

A: We have a lot of sediment and silt in our well water.  I have been using these close to 10 years now, and I change them every 3 months.  If I go too long, the silt gets past the filter and into the washing machine (that's where I notice it first).

**Q: Will these filters fit the express water whole house filter hsg?they are also 4.5 x20 filters. Would like to use this gradiant sediment filter**
A: Yes, the sediment filter will fit the 20 inch canister. That is a std size. It should go into the first position in a 3 canister setup.

**Q: Can i replace a dgd-5005- 20 with this dgd-2501-20? what are the consequent's replace more often?**
A: The DGD-2501-20 is designed to remove smaller particulate and is constructed of denser filter media than th DGD-5005-20, thus it my need to be replaced more often if the feed water quality has a higher volume of larger sized particulate.
