A nasal trumpet (nasal airway) does not work on this mannequin. It is hard to advance the tube past the cords. We are going to try surgical, water-based lube and hope it doesn't damage the mannequin. The ET tube that comes with the mannequin is for training only and is NOT a real ET tube. It does seem more durable than a real ETT. Because the included ET tube is a little different, you cannot use a bougie with it. The mannequin would benefit from straps to hold it to our patient chair or to a patient table. But, even at this "great" price, we are disappointed. The second unit is essentially unusable. OPAs either fall into the mouth... or, if sized properly, will not seat (the epiglottis is too shallow). The nostrils do not accept appropriate sized NPAs and must be kinked to be inserted (even when lubed). To a significantly lesser degree, but still annoying... the second unit has equal pupils. So, we have had a 50/50 experience with this organization. It comes with a great storage bag and has almost everything you need to start learning. The cheap-ness makes me think it will not last very long in a commercial environment. I believe students will be hard on this doll to point of breaking/bursting the innards.
