I bought two and used them for a different purpose. The one attaches to my trash can wonderfully, but the other handle fails to attach to my **identical** recycling bin. I have yet to figure out the discrepancy, but I am satisfied enough about the trash can that I consider the purchase a success. (The trash can is auto-open, so there is not real handle... but it goes through batteries so quickly that I cannot keep up.
