They taste soooo refreshing after lunch or dinner. Stick them in the refrigerator to get cold and after lunch or dinner, you've got an instant not-too-sweety nor too-fatty dessert. Lychee and passion fruit are my favorite (although if you search around for "nata de coco", there are a lot of other exotic flavors like coconut, mango, papaya, aloe vera, durian, taro) - they're almost like eating the real tropical fruits themselves but without having to peel or cut anything. They're not like American pudding where the consistency is like creamy, sticky pudding or yogurt. The consistency is more like a smooth jelly like a fruit Jell-O, not at all sticky and as i said, it tastes best after refrigerating after a while - a great substitute for fatty ice cream, fatty pudding or fatty sweet yogurt. BEWARE: the size of each plastic "cup" of tropical jello-like pudding is probably only 1 to 1.5 small tangerines.You can also take them to go without having to take along smooshed & maybe rotting fruits you have to cut and peel & take out the big seeds & peels messily. True, you could just bring along strawberry or cherry jello, but I get so weary of those flavors and I like the unique tropical exotic flavors. Lychee has a unique flavor akin almost to a combination of apples and grapes that is subtle in flavor, not overwhelming like mango or durian.
