It looked so easy and effortless to use. One scoop will create a perfect slice of watermelon. I decided to give this gadget a try.The watermelon slicer is made out of stainless steel. It is non corrosive and is dishwasher safe. It is not a very sharp gadget, so it is safe for anyone to use.The slicer arrived just in time for my Fourth of July party. My thoughts of this product are the following. This gadget seems like a great concept, it does technically work and is fully functional. I just don't particularly care for this product. I found it very difficult to maneuver into the watermelon half. I didn't get a nice clean perfect slice that could be lifted from the watermelon. My pieces were more like chunks. I personally felt that it took twice as long to use. I would have rather just used a regular knife to cut the watermelon into slices.
