I have an electric opener (3rd one) a rabbit style with the opposing levers to grip the bottle (5th one) and have had and own countless angel and traditional (jack-knife style) corkscrews. I like the electrics, but they just don't last more than about a year. The other rabbit styles (using a plier like grip on the bottle) I've owned are wonky, eventually jam and/or need to be repaired, but even in use typically require more force than a simple angel opener. A well made angel style opener (good luck finding one) is nice but can still require a bit of finesse to remove the cork fully. While jack-knife style openers are traditional, very reliable and relatively easy to use, many folks are uncomfortable with them (they require practice to use well) and misuse can result in minor injury. THIS opener is awesome AND comes with the best foil cutter I've ever seen integrated in the opener (which means you aren't searching around for it). At first I was concerned that the device didn't come with a stand, but it rests upright just fine on its own. The action is smooth and requires little force. The design has you holding the neck of the bottle in your hand, not inches away on the end of a grip like the plier style "rabbit" as well as applying the force directly into remove the cork.
