I have been using it for several years now and it has held up well. It is the perfect thickness to place in the fold of fabric and iron over to get a crisp, smooth crease. It makes a crackling sound under a hot iron, which I'm not sure what is caused by, but the heat does not seem to have damaged the ruler.
