They appear to be high quality. I bought these laces as a service life extension program for my hiking boots. I realized recently that one of my laces was getting worn out and wanted to replace both sets. There was an issue or notable fact that fellow customers should know. When it talks about being able to fit "10-14 pairs of eyelets," this means PAIRS of holes for your bootlaces, not SINGLE holes. When I read this, I thought they meant SINGLE holes, and as a result have bootlaces that are too long. My hiking boots have only 5 pairs of eyelets (10 holes), so I will save these laces for possible future campouts, hikes, and boots. These laces are primarily meant for large military or fire-fighting boots. Another review noted and claimed to have used these as a bear bag rope that successfully stood up to bear tampering; I have not tested these laces out but if true this is impressive. A major selling point for me was that these laces were made in the U.S.A.As constructive criticism and feedback based on my experience, I would suggest two things. First, mention in parenthesis somewhere in the description and/or packaging that eyelets are PAIRS of lace holes. For those like myself that aren't familiar with this term, this will help avoid purchasing laces that are too long. Second, going along with this, I think these laces and the creators of them could be more successful if they expanded their target customer base by introducing smaller laces. Properly-sized versions for hiking boots and camping would probably be pretty popular. I will be keeping my Rhino Laces for use at a future date. Since I am not able to fully use them as intended, I give this product four stars. I could use the laces with my hiking boots but they are still too long; there is still too much leftover lace after having laced the boots and tied them for practical purposes. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good luck putting on your boot. *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2018* So these laces are tough, almost too tough. I replaced my old laces on my boots with these and while they never come undone, or loosen up. The issue is getting them on. Because of the material of the laces I have to almost unstring most of the laces to put my boots on. Which is time consuming. While in everyday wear no big deal. But if for some reason you needed to remove you boots in a hurry, your out of luck.+Very strong+Never loosens up+Stays in place-Stong material of lace makes it a time consuming job when actually putting on the shoe. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just one gripe. *by B***E on Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2017* The metal tips can be loosened and fall off. I use them in my work boots and when I lace them up they go through 4 sets of hooks and 1 set of eyes. Well taking them off loosened the metal tips and 2 of them fell off. I was able to get them back on and crimped all of them.
