I don't know if I'll use the sun dial part much, but the instructions that came with it are very well written (and not some poor translation to English from somewhere else). It's more expensive than some similar items, but I'm glad I paid to get a compass made by Neovivid (seems a good make) and it was posted within the UK with Amazon Prime (it arrived in two days and was very well protected by its packaging). It is not a precision instrument and I would not use it for ocean navigation but it is an excellent reproduction/retro functional compass. It is solid, very well made and highly tactile. The compass needle is a bit twitchy on the move but it only vibrates between a few degrees of arc. It's fine if you just want to know which way north is. The sun dial is a nice, if impractical addition.
