I don't mess with anything else--just turn it on, go to the card, and just hit play.It could very well die tomorrow, but for now it's working... Which is more than I can say for all my other players. I bought if for my mom to download podcasts. Love that you can just clip it on your t-shirt or shorts pocket and go. No worrying if you're using data using podcasts when you leave the house. I use windows media player to sync playlists. It shows up as another drive.
