I bought 3 of them about 10 years ago when you could still find sort of decent claw clips in the drugstores. After I broke the first 2 I had been looking for a replacement and all I found were really junkie cheap claw clips that barely held my hair up. This clip is really well made. It is much better quality than what you find in the drug stores. It looks a lot nicer as well. It has a very strong hinge (would be really good for fine or thin hair) and the hinge is encased with these plastic from the outside which gives the clip a nicer more finished look than drugstore clips. I will definitely buy another. The only downfall is this clip is a bit smaller than I expected. It would definitely not work for thick hair unless you just wanted a half up style. I don't have thick hair or thin hair I would say just average thickness hair and this clip works perfectly to hold my hair out of my face while working around the house or washing my face.
