He has broken 2 of my beds by being to rough in it. **Q: Does the mattress slip off like on similar designed beds?** A: There's a very small (half an inch?) gap that the mattress can sit in. Which means it doesn't necessarily slide off the frame, but it's not sitting deeply in the frame to the point where it can't move. It was easy to put together on my own and was really quite solid when built. The frame looks really good and overall it has exceeded my expectations. There is good space underneath to push some storage items under there. I put an air mattress on the frame and covered with bedding rather than buy a mattress. As such I have no experience on sleeping on this so I don't know if it creaks with movement or doesn't like too much weight. I was going to sell this once I had sold the house, however, I have decided to keep it and use it in the future. It was easy to dismantle and it fits into quite a narrow box, so it is easy to store. I think that this would be a great bed for a spare room or for a young girl/ teenager.
