**Q: What is the difference between these and the other ones shown for $79.99? (Swix, and I think)**
A: the strap handles are different and these I believe are lighter than the other version offered.

**Q: How effective are these pole for fall protection?**
A: I'm 80 years old, very unsteady on my feet, and always afraid of falling.  But I take long walks with my Nordic ski poles and feel about as secure as is possible at this stage in my life.  So I highly recommend them.

**Q: I've had mine for years and the wrist straps are wearing out. Are replacement straps available?**

**Q: Do these poles have any kind of shock absorbing system?**
A: Hello,
the rubber tip at the end is pretty thick and absorbs a good bit of vibration or shock. I use mine on a very pebbly surface and I don't have reverberations thru my arms.

Easy to hit the trail! Love nordic walking. The straps are so comfortable and enable a natural stride. They come with instructions although I found videos on YouTube very helpful to ensure I was using correct form, propelling me forward.

These excel poles are very sturdy and fit well in the hand. I did have a minor issue at first but the seller went head and shoulders beyond what was necessary to rectify the situation. I would recommend this company for anyone interested in nordic walking/running poles.
