Two speeds are available depending on wiring as well. A DC speed control will vary speed and change roataion. **Q: What is the RPM of this motor on low speed?** A: The speed varies by manufacturer. Slow is approx 25 rpm. You can make it go slower with a PWM motor control. These cost about $8 on up. Some even have a switch to reverse polarity without having to rewire. Use at least a 5A transformer with regulated power supply. **Q: Purchased this product and plugged it into a 12v power cord, but it isn’t working. Any suggestions or did I get a dud?** A: Bummer. Possibly a dud. With a multi meter check your 12v voltage. Then check resistance with the power disconnected, using the ohms selection on your meter. Check for an "open" in the wiring. Are you connecting the right wires? Some of the motors have dual speed and "park" options. Hope this helps. You can always return. **Q: What is the rated and stall torque for this motor?** A: I use this motor in a Halloween prop. While I don't know the specific details, it is very similar to the units that I have purchased from Fright Props and Monster Guts. Load and no-load values are similar. The ratings for their motors are approximately 175 lbs. for stall torque. I have never stalled the Amz motor, but I have accidentally done so with the FP unit. It simply stops. Unplug and replug the motor and it keeps working. Since that event, I now have a 2a fuse inline for protection. I also purchased a speed controller as the rpms from the 2 available speeds were faster than desired. I used a 5 amp xfmr, but the draw was much less. 2 amp xfmr might be plenty, depending on application. If using a fuse link, 5 amps would be plenty. Included was a modular plug, but nothing else.The order came promptly.
