**Q: How long does it take to see some effect?**
A: If you're asking about effect on mood, it likely depends on the person. If you know anything about how serotonin works and how SSRIs work, you know that it can take weeks to achieve that happy balance after it's been 'unbalanced'. A: NOW's label indicates myo-inositol.

**Q: Is this the same as IP-6?**
A: There are many forms of inositol. IP-6 is a form of inositol often called inositol hexaphosphate. The NOW product is myo-inositol. There is some evidence that the two forms of inositol each has positive effects,  and it may be even more beneficial to take both at the same time. You can get the inositol hexaphosphate or IP-6 in powdered form from Bulk Supplements.  NOW carries only the myo-inositol.
