Review: sharp and easy to use - I've found this to be a really good quality, well made plane. It is small but great value and perfectly suited for the small pieces of wood that I needed it for. I used it to square off some small blocks of European lime and it managed with no problems whatever, the blade is very sharp and easy to adjust, and pulling the plane towards you, rather than pushing away as we do with the western planes, I found much easier and more controllable.
Review: Great tool - Thought I would buy to try and was amazed how easy it was to use, quality is great and the adjustment are easy to do once I got my head round it. This plane is an accurate tool with a little sharpening time and great value.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How wide is the blade itself? Is 50 mm the total width of the plane or just the blade itself. Thanks!**
A: The overall width of the blade is a bit over 50mm. The cutting edge tapers to about 45mm, which is normal. The dai (plane body) is about 63mm.

**Q: Where am I supposed to whack it again?**
A: You want to adjust the blade, right? When you are taking out the blade, gently hold down the top of the blade piece so it does not pop out, and use a hammer to hit the top of the plane in the same direction as the blade. When doing so, make sure that you are hitting the top corners of wooden body. When hit from the middle, there is a chance that the wooden body will crack. When placing the blade, slot the blade into the groove with your hand, and while observing how much the blade is protruding, gently tap the top of the blade with a hammer. The blade should be protruding around 0.05～0.2㎜ when seen from the end of the wooden body. Adjust accordingly. If the tip of the blade is completely visible, the blade is protruding too much. As you are adjusting the blade, there is a chance that either the right or left side of the blade will begin to protrude from the blade hole too much. When this happens, lightly tap the wooden body on the same side as the protruding blade with your hammer.

**Q: How much it weight? The description says 5.6 ounces but it seems too light. Thank you**
A: it is light and the blade cannot be removed for sharpening don't recommend
