## Description

Product description Why MOVE SHOOT MOVE Z Mounts are Able to Work with Camera Sliders Optimally? As a low-profile ball head. Enhancing the position of cameras. Cameras stretch forward to adjust the distance between Cameras and shooting objects. Tilting for better altitude angles. Panning for better azimuth angles. What are features of Folding Z mounts distinct from universal ball heads? Cameras on Z mounts can stretch further in all directions than on universal ball heads. More befitting on panoramic shooting than ball heads. AS a low-profile ball head or enhancing the height of Cameras. ONE IS MORE! Horizontal composition fast switch to vertical composition. Panoramas Photography. Once the lower plate is level, the balance wouldn't be lost no matter how you tilt the Z mount. Macro Photography High-angle Photography Low-angle Photography Cameras on the MOVE SHOOT MOVE Z Mount can stretch further in all directions than on ball heads. But ball heads are more move-flexible than MOVE SHOOT MOVE Z Mount. Combining the merits of Z Mount and ball head together can be a solution to some knotty problems. A Quick Solution to Close-up Shoots It would be a great solution for macro still life shooting when a MOVE SHOOT MOVE flex smart mount and a ball head are used. Holding on your camera by one hand, while simultaneously loosening or tightening the knobs of the gears by another hand, you will find it would be so easy to find great angles for it. No need to move your tripod and adjust the tripod height repeatedly to find angles anymore! From Our Customers Excellent build quality The build quality is excellent…all CNC machined. It moves and locks in place with precision. Mounted on top of a mini tripod, it makes an excellent setup for macro photography and panoramas. Light and Compact I liked how light and compact the product was and how it easily fit in my bag. The design is nice as well as the feature of being able to pull out the knobs slightly in case they get stuck under something. It could handle my camera's weight well and the movement of the levers was very smooth. A big game changer for the shots That original Z bracket was just awful. THIS one however was fantastic. The build quality is night and day different. This is going to be a big game changer for the shots I am going to be able to get with my slider shots. This folding Z Mount is Designed with a professional photographer from the UK - Alyn Wallace. MOVE SHOOT MOVE is a customer-oriented team. Based on the demands of the photographers and for the purpose of designing the most-wanted product, we have been keeping improving our products. Packing List Z-mount *1 1/4" to 3/8" adapter*1 Why the 0.49 lbs-weight Z mount can load weight max to 4KG? The adopted finger-fork design multiplies the number of contact surfaces to strengthen the total friction. More the friction there is, the plate is more impossible to shift. Each joint with two finger-forks increase to 4 surfaces. As known that two joints conjunct two plates, therefore the friction is produced by 8-surfaces joints, far stronger than similar products with a total of 4 surfaces. 0.49 lbs weight 8.8 lbs carrying capacity 3.4" *2.6" *0.9" folded size Easily positionable with no hex screw to tighten 3/8" screw hole at the bottom (includes 1/4" adapter) One embedded panning base and two built-in bubble levels 100% CNC machined aluminum body and stainless steel screw

Review: "Buy nice or buy twice" rings true for Z-mounts - I purchased this product to replace a much cheaper "universal" Z-mount that would not hold my 0.75 Kg Panasonic Lumix G95 with 25mm prime lens stationary on a Glide Gear TMP-100 teleprompter stand. Conversely, the locking mechanism on the Move Shoot Move (MSM) Z-mount is rock-solid and you don't need to apply full force on the tightening screws to get the Z-mount to hold its position. I also love the spring-loaded thumb levers on the tightening screws where you can easily adjust their alignment around the screw heads without any tools in case the camera body or tripod head interfere with their rotations. The rotating panorama function, integrated bubble levels, or angle markings on the hinges are of no use to my application but the device does lock solidly in place, which is what I need. For the most part, lighting and camera hardware are just metal plates, screws, and screw holes (within tolerances, of course). Thus, inexpensive, unbranded hardware is often just as adequate as higher-priced, brand-named hardware. However, in the case of Z-mounts, considering the engineering challenge of designing a sufficient locking mechanism based solely on the amount of frictional pressure applied along the length of a relatively small hinge pin at the fulcrum of the lever, I'm convinced that my recent experience exemplifies the adage that one should "buy nice or buy twice" when it comes to Z-mounts. I did have a slight problem with screwing the MSM Z-mount's 1/4-inch adapter onto my TMP-100 teleprompter mounting screw. I removed the adapter and worked the TMP-100 mounting screw through it several times with some silicone lubricant. The two parts still bind together in a particular spot along the screw path (the problem clearly being the Z-mount's 1/4-inch adapter as I've had not previous issues with the TMP-100 mounting screw), but I won't need to remove the MSM Z-mount from my TMP-100 on a regular basis. Plus, 1/4-inch mount adapters are cheap and easy to replace.
Review: Z to You! - This handy little device is very well made and a good size. It's big enough to hold a camera even at an awkward angle, yet small enough to fit into my setup. There are smaller ones and bigger versions from other manufacturers but this is the only one that utilizes flap levers on the hinge screws. The other manufacturers models uses a hex wrench to adjust the tensions of the hinges. It's not that that's a bad thing, it's just that it's inconvenient. When you're out using the other ones (which I also have) all things being equal, you can never find the right size hex (allen) wrench or worse - you drop it into the great dark void! The manufacturer actually exists as a Astronomy Star Tracking mount maker, that's why it's named Move-Shoot-Move, which refers to astrophotography. This item is not limited to only that, it can be great for regular photography use also. In any case, it's a handy little device for putting on top of a star tracker and mounting a camera to it and getting the angle that you need!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: can you use this off of the tripod - like on a table or flat surface?**
A: Yes you can.

**Q: When locked with a tripod plate, which has rubbers longer than this Z head bottom circle diameter, will it prevent the rotation for panoramic?**
A: Hi friend, the bottom circle is 0.5mm higher than the bottom plate prevents this from happening. If the rubber of the tripod is not so easily changed in shape, generally wouldn't prevent the rotation of Z Mount.
By the way, the diameter of the bottom circle is about 48mm(inch).

**Q: Can this be connected directly to a tripod or does it require additional parts to connect to tripod?**
A: It has a 3/8 female thread with a 1/4 adapter so you can connect it directly to any tripod without a head. You can also connect it to a ball head which acts as a leveler and use the z head as a pano head or for taking perfectly level landscape photos and still control the pan and tilt. The z head is also great for getting closer when taking macro shots of objects.

**Q: Can this be set to film looking downwards?**
A: Yes it can. It's really a great addition. And if you have any question with the z flex tilt mount, please feel free to tell us and we will help you.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Useful, adaptable and solid
*by J***R on January 5, 2024*

The joints are perfect, however with a full load (long lens, geared head, etc) the middle plate flexes a tiny bit. That makes the whole thing vibrate. Doubling up one side (essentially making a V head) solves that. If the middle plate were just a bit thicker, this would be able to handle much heavier payloads in the Z form. I vote for that.
