Review: Extremely fast. Super simple to install. If you can install a ram stick, you can install this. - Holy Batman Banana Waffles! Golly Gee Willickers! I recently moved and I went from a hosue where the wifi was fibre 300/d 300/u (mbps) and the router was in my own room and i maxed out at about 200mbps there with my previous wlan card, which was the intel ax3168 (i think?) which unfortunately i found out was sunset in 2023..the year i bought this prebuilt pc. :S SO that's not good. So after moving I am now in the room farthest from the room with the router, and the house is about 90 feet long. The router is in the far northeast corner, and my pc is in the far northeast corner. My ax3100 was maxing about 120mbps and averaging like 30mbpsd 10u (mbps again) on a connection that ought to be 1000mbps. The router says its 1000mbps in the isp's test of it's connection. (Over that actually by a substantial ammount.) So I started troubleshooting. I moved my pc from one end of my room to the other. I can't move it to my living room in the center of the house to decrease the distance, but I realized even then I would probably top out around 200mbps. My phone however, was getting on average 400mbps on wifi sitting at my pc desk. Finally I bit the bullet and bought this when I saw it was on sale and researched to verify it was compatible with my motherboard (i'm kind of a noob so i just hopped on the LTT discord and asked around and then checked with pcpartpicker too (their advice and please use it just google pcpartpicker no spaces. do not use pcbuilder.io it recommended me this same product from a different seller for like 10$ more than esrb which is crazy because i got it for 10$ lower than esrb. woop woop.) Anyways, it arrived a day later thanks to my prime membership. And I installed it in about 3 minutes. I DID NOT UNINSTALL MY PREVIOUS WLAN/BLUETOOTH CHIP FIRST. THIS MIGHT BE IMPORTANT. I WILL EXPLAIN WHY. When I booted it logged into my wifi using my old chip, and then used that wifi connection to download the drivers for the new chip then asked me to restart my pc. (Hence why you might not want to uninstall the old chip and may want to dual boot them at first.) After I restarted, it was STILL connected to my old chip. But my new chip was showing up in device manager, with current drivers. Woohoo! So I just disabled my old chip in the device manager, disabled its accompanying bluetooth, and then it disconnected me from wifi. Then It asked me to sign back into my wifi. SO YOU WILL NEED YOUR WIFI PASSWORD HANDY BECAUSE APPARENTLY YOUR WINDOWS SETTINGS DONT TRANSFER FROM ONE CHIP TO THE OTHER? IDK THIS SEEMS WEIRD TO ME BUT ITS MY EXPERIENCE OF HOW IT HAPPENED. Anyways i connected, and then i went straight to speedtest.com and ran a speedtest. The speedtest was 450d 150u (mbps) on a pc i've never seen that speeds on before. (I'll include screenshot) I then checked my wifi setting, clicked advanced, and it was wifi 6. Not even utilizing the 6e. After googling some, it turns out my isp's base router (xfinity/cox xb8) does not even support 6e. It Doesn't allow you to turn on 6ghz either, apparently, though I could be wrong... I'd like to know if I am btw, so .. yeah hmu. But needless to say i think a new router is in order, perhaps. AAAAND last but not least, i downloaded a game. I chose the witcher 3: wild hunt from steam to test my connection. I am located in Benton County, Northwest Arkansas. I set my connection on steam to US- St Louis and then downloaded the game. It took me about 30 minutes and the peak speed was 525mbps. (I will also include a screenshot of it showing my peak speed.) All in all, This product is amazing, I have gone from shoddy internet despite paying for gig fiber, to extremely good internet. And I've played a game of fortnite or two to test out my bluetooth capability (dualsense 5 controller) and it worked great. For references, my build is Mobo: Gigabyte B550 UD AC Rev 1 Ram: 16gb (not sure mhz or brand i dont plan on upgrading anytime soon uwu..cos u know.. ai...) CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700 (OEM chip, not the x. slightly slower i think than the 5700x) GPU: Nvidia Geforce 3060 by MSI (Ventus 12gb Edition) 3 front case fans, 1 back case fan, Aircooled cpu 2 fans on the gpu Storage is a WD Blue SN570 1tb. Now I'll Upload the screenshots and be done with this review. I can't comment on the stability yet as I've only had the product for about 6 hours. But I've downloaded 5 games in that time.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: should i get this**
A: It's not future proof; because it only has bluetooth 5.2, and the current standard is bluetooth 5.3. Why won't Gigabyte upgrade their adapter to bluetooth 5.3. If they do, I'll buy it.

**Q: Is there a low profile bracket included for this card?**
A: Only has the card , antenna, and included software driver CD inside

**Q: Can i use the card without connecting the usb to the motherboard?
and if not, can i connect the usb to an external usb?**
A: Both of these answers are not correct. The Wi-Fi works without the USB cable plugged into a USB header. The Bluetooth does not. Unfortunately I have a mini ITX system so I do not have an extra USB header. I am still using the card because I really don’t use Bluetooth for the most part anyways.

**Q: Is there a laptop version of this?**
A: Search wifi 6e card on Amazon. You will see the small laptop version of the card the AX210.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Up and running in 10 minutes; both WiFi and Bluetooth are working very well
*by M***Y on May 3, 2023*

I just installed this yesterday. Working just great. Got to the Gigabyte website and download the drivers and manual for this. This is easy to do, just put the product name into their search engine at the Gigabyte USA site and the product info will pop up. Go to Support and download both drivers in zip form, one for wifi, one for BT, plus the manual. I extracted both of the drivers and was ready to go. I had the instructions on hand, and they lay out a very easy to follow 4 or 5 step process, which I outline below. I inserted the card into a PCI-E X 1 slot, right next to my video card. I plugged one end of the USB cable into the card, and the other into into one of the USB 2.0 slots on my motherboards, near where the front panel header is located (check your motherboard manual). I attached the antenna. I then powered up my system. I first clicked on my wifi driver that I had downloaded. A little installation window pops up showing the installation of the Gigabyte driver, and then goes away. I then went into my Windows 10 Settings > Network, it showed that wifi was working, I clicked on available wifi networks, and then connected to our home network. Done with setting up wife. Briefly, my speeds have varied from 150Mb to 500+ Mb depending on my location and time of day. Amazing, the variability. I have this particular system set up in a dead spot in our basement, and I get at least 150Mb and up to 400+ Mb from the location, which is amazing, becuase this is one dead spot (but a convenient one to set up a system). I have apretty good Comcast router. After ensuring the wifi was working, I clicked on the Bluetooth driver and it immediately installed. As with wifi, a small little windows pops up showing the installation of the Gigabyte BT driver, and then goes away. I then went into my Windows 10 Settings > Devices, Bluetooth, made sure it was turned on, and then to test out that it worked, I clicked on "Add a Bluetooth Device", prepped some bluetooth speakers I have to be set to connect, and voila, instantly connected. If you are familiar with Bluetooh, it is all pretty staightforward. From opening the box to be fully connected with wifi and Bluetooth, it took me about 15 minutes. I had prepared the drivers and reviewed the manual the night before. I should point out that I installed this on a Gigabyte motherboard that I purchased 7 years ago (and now using in our basement family room as a secondary computer) that did not have wifi or Bluetooth. Whether being a Gigabyte motherboard made a difference, I don't know, but I doubt it. I am extremely pleased with this card. I defintely can recommend it to others. I did note that the price went up close to 16 - 17 US dollars. I don't recall if I got this on sale.
