I did put it together, lay on it (test it out) and take it down and store it back in the bag. Seems pretty sturdy and well built. Fairly easy to put together, just have to fold it out and then place the end bars in place. The last one is the hardest and takes a bit of "umph" to get it, but not that bad. The cots we had in the military were way harder to put together. This one is nicer, and seems as tough too. Make sure you get a cot pad though, adds needed cushion. The carry case and storage side thing are nice as well.
