They fit well, snug at the ball as expected, but do not work up and down. They are nice to walk it but limited cushion, you are buying western boots after all. The sole is nice and grips quite well, I've worn them in snow and wet grass and they do not slide around like typical western flat soles.The leather is well oiled and treated. They shed water pretty well but I will be keeping up on the treating to ensure they do not get water marked, but these are work boots for me. They've been breaking in well, I've worn them now about 5 days and stretching to the contour of my foot pretty quickly.My only complaint is the top of the boot is a hair wide. Pants tend to get stuck on them and stay up a little until you stomp them back down. This is true with standard cut and boot cut jeans. The toe area is darker and there is almost a "line" separating it from the rest of the shoe, even though it's one piece of leather. Well, I work at a stand up desk and I am 7 hours into the day and still wearing them and still standing. Pretty crazy. The bottom is amazing as well.
