Close the door. Throw the apples away afterwards and if you could leave them in there for 2 days its even better. Worked on a car I bought that smokers owned. Not kidding you, no smoke smell **Q: Does it eliminate woodstove smoke that escapes when loading with wood?** A: I have only used on cigarette smoke. It did the trick but after a period of a couple months the smoky smell is back although not as strong. **Q: Does it eliminate new leather smell? My sofa stinks** A: I use it on my leather coat all the time & it works great. But not all leather is the same. **Q: Will it remove cigarette smoke from wood/wicker furniture without damaging the stain?** A: Seeing as how I've never actually tried that, I cannot say for certain. However, I do know that once it's sprayed on something (clothing, hair, etc), it does leave a very faint and somewhat oily residue. I would go with a large bottle of Gone Smoke, also available on Amazon. It dries almost instantly to the touch and also gets rid of the odors like cigarette smoke etc. It's safe to spray on fabrics and inside closets, so I would imagine it would probably be OK on wood or wicker.
