I was using Castrol EDGE High Mileage 10W-30 Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil, but the oil light came on & when I put a real pressure gauge on, it was less than 5psi, the pressure that the oil pressure switch switches on/off at. Not wanting to spend more money than the car is worth to replace the oil pump, I tried this slightly thicker 10W-40 oil. Haven't seen the check oil light since!
