I resorted to the simple old mouse trap and took care of the problem in the first day. ### ⭐⭐⭐ You really need pounds of this product, not ounces. *by R***. on December 23, 2025* I bought a few of these small bags and followed the directions and never saw a dead vole, but no new tunnels appeared around the area I treated at least for a little while. But they multiplied until my 1/2 acre lot was totally infested with the little buggers. I ended up buying a 50 lb. bag. I broadcasted it when rain wasn't in the forecast and over a year filled about 300 little plastic bags I bought on Amazon after tried wrapping a couple of hundred of them in plastic wrap. I poked about 500 holes in their tunnels over a two year period and put in the pellets. Anytime I saw what appeared be a fresh tunnel or mound I poked holes and put in the product. I still have voles but will say they aren't nearly as bad as they were when I saw the first tunnel. A few bags may help if you have a small problem, but if your yard is covered in them, you're are better off cost wise buying large quantities. Now I will say, my problem is unique because my house sits in the middle of a farm and there are voles outside my fence. When I broadcast the product, I apply it heavily around the perimeter of my lot. It's been a three year battle. I tried repellents first, and they seemed to work, but it a process you also have to continue broadcasting over a few day period starting from close to the house working toward the outside of your lot. Then they just come back because you aren't killing them. I know they come out the tunnels because I have found them in pool and the skimmer. Next time, in addition to the Vole-X, I think I'll get a about a dozen of those large bait boxes with poison now that my old cat doesn't hunt anymore.
