Although other techniques have been suggested, some manner of "moth balls" seem to be the most reliable. There are other products that we use that purport to provide extended atmospheric protection, but we place these in every closet that holds wool clothing. The sturdy hangers are dependable, and a lavender scent is preferable to "eau moth ball". Additionally, one can open the case and consolidate the remaining crystal blocks.
