These are 36 inches wide. The largest round or arched window they will fit it 36" wide. I have to return mine because my window is 45" wide. **Q: What material are these made from?** A: Not sure, but appears to be linen. **Q: Humidity a problem?** A: Humidity has not been a problem for us. **Q: can i shorten the width of the shade to 32 inch** A: Yes you are able to cut the shade down if you need to. It’s better to get fabric material like this product compare to paper in my opinion. You will need 2nd person when you do the measurements and cut them. Cutting is little tricky but as long as you have very sharp knife it will cut nicely. I am satisfied with this purchase and was able to install 2 arch’s in our house. And to my surprise, it looks great! The installation is easy, the instructions us clearly printed on the package, very straight forward. Took me only 20 minutes to have it done, including cleaning my window/window cell, multiple repeated measuring and slowly climbing the ladder up and down several times.Friendly advice to the better installation:1. Measuring - making sure your measurements are right.2. Cutting - needs a very very sharp knife and firm grip to hold donw the folds of the blinds so that it won't wiggle while you're cutting. Don't use saw motion to cut, it will make the folds move causing uneven cutting edge. Slice it straight down as chopping a block of cheese with some strength.3. Try to fan it out to see the fit before you secure it down.
