Review: A beast of a speaker. - Compared to other speakers (the Sony XP800 and 900, and the JBL Boombox), for its relatively low price point, this speaker is awesome and will do the job with no disappointment. The bass delivery punches you in the stomach; it's more than loud and the light show is good in a darkened environment. Battery life is around25 hours (at low/moderate volume), but at full volume it's around fiver hours, but the speaker can be powered direct from the mains. It has on board controls, but can also be operated via the Sony app. My only gripe is it's weight. It really is HEAVY. 38lbs, and even the box is labelled up, "two man lift....". So, if you're looking at a getting a thumping speaker that will comfortably rock any room, this will make you smile, and say, "Wow !!!" If you need to rock a large outside area then you'll need to spend twice the price on something larger and with more power. Love it though !
