They were a little short, and a little too wide, which means if I went up a half size they'd be really wide for me. I normally wear a 7.5 and my feet are narrow. My 16" calves fit in the shafts, but resulted in the calf version of muffin top. I don't consider myself to be husky by any means and I think my calves are not full but if I tried wearing even the thinnest layer of tights with these they would be too tight on the calf. 8" calves or smaller will fit into these. I gave 3 stars only because it was a hassle to return and I still haven't received my refund to order a different pair.
