Review: My son is tired of our novel studies. I'm tired of buying novels he doesn't like. I bought this hoping the excerpts would be interesting to him and the questions reasonable for his reading level. He is right now finishing 7th grade and had no trouble starting this book. This book cover standards like recognizing alliterations, similes, and metaphors. It also helps the student hone in on the focus of the reading. I'm hoping this will help my son get more comfortable with the kind of questions you get in standardized testing because our homeschool has been a lot more focused on improving reading skills naturally with novels and other interesting reading materials.

My son is tired of our novel studies. I'm tired of buying novels he doesn't like. I bought this hoping the excerpts would be interesting to him and the questions reasonable for his reading level. He is right now finishing 7th grade and had no trouble starting this book. This book cover standards like recognizing alliterations, similes, and metaphors. It also helps the student hone in on the focus of the reading. I'm hoping this will help my son get more comfortable with the kind of questions you get in standardized testing because our homeschool has been a lot more focused on improving reading skills naturally with novels and other interesting reading materials.
