A: Yes, this backpack should meet the carryon standards for a flight.

**Q: Is the kangaroo color the same as coyote brown for military compliance?**
A: I believe it does

**Q: Why is there a price difference between "1sz" and "37L" if they're the same size?**
A: there are 3 sizes: small 24 L - median 37L and large 55L.  Check full description to see which is being referred to.

**Q: Does the Medium size have side pockets?**
A: The direct answer is yes, total of two (2) with one on each side of the main bag (right hand and left hand). These "pockets" are approx. 13" tall and 4" wide (and can flex into a tube shape (if stuffed) with an 8" circumference)  and zip on the 13" side/edge with the zipper toward the carrier. These are actually more "containing compartments" as opposed to true "pockets" and are good for rope, clothes, sticks, etc.
