Review: Very strong grip and backing adhesive - Great, super grippy tape. I use this to hold a somewhat large hotspot in place in my car. It firmly holds the device in place in an area subject to high humidity and large temperature swings. Yet I can easily remove the device when I need to. I also use it to keep a battery pack attached to the hotspot. One caveat: as good as the adhesive backing is, the grip is perhaps even stronger. So don't use it on drywall or other non-solid surfaces unless you intend to keep the item permanently in place.

**Q: What's the difference between this item and 3m dual lock 250/tb3550?**
A: That's a solid question, the difference is that there are slightly different variations of the stem and it's density.  There's also a difference in the adhesives used throughout the 3M Dual Lock. 

My observations are that the clear seems to hold better than the black, especially if you have to reposition it once adhered. That's all I know, hope it helps.

**Q: will this work on a bed rug truck liner?**
A: It would but weatherproof carpet tape or an adhesive tape made for this purpose might suit you better my friend.
You have to remember that two thick pieces of this will raise that area, all weather carpet tape or bedliner tape is fairly thin, and lays perfectly flat.
