A: Yes you still get an alert on your phone. No the chime doesn’t detect motion just if someone rings the bell

**Q: I cannot pair this with my doorbell, I do not know how it seems so complicated, I click on add doorbell and there is nothing there to pair with ?**
A: It was a bit tricky I had to try it a few times but if you follow the instructions it should work. Try ringing customer service at Arlo.

**Q: The QR code on the back of the chime is not being picked up/recognised by my iPhone?**
A: i had same trouble  .if part of alarm system you need to get camera disconnect ed befoe it will pair .if you phone arlo customer service they will send you a bigger code so your device will read it that is what i had to do still took a few attempts to get it working i spent two days on it
