Very nicely packaged, and it took about one week to deliver via Fed Ex. They didn’t come with mounting instructions, but I believe anyone over the age of six could install them it’s so easy. I made the slight mistake of dragging out extra screws and attaching the brackets at both the top and side of my window frames and had to slightly "pull out/bend" the mounting hardware so the blinds could “catch” the brackets. No big deal, but attach the brackets to the top only for inside window mounts like mine. There is a reason they give you so few screws!The chain is easy to cut and adjust to a shorter length. I really like the shades due to the simplicity of them, but I don’t like the light coming through at the top, or that the mounting hardware shows. I am going to need to purchase a valance for both windows.The quality of the material and construction seems to be top-notch. I normally give things five stars when I love them, and I do love these shades. But with that said, I’m only giving them four stars since I think they should say somewhere that a valance is required for a finished look. I have attached three pictures. Please note the amount of light at the top of the shade in the closed position. It takes maybe ½ hour to open, figure out what’s going on and install these things for one older woman. All that hardware shown on the site picture is not included. I think some of it must be inside the shade as part of the construction, or included as part of the bigger units maybe.I haven’t yet figured out what two clear-plastic clip things are for. Anyone know? Have fun; they are nice and easy…Kathy ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Not great, but not terrible either. *by B***S on Reviewed in the United States on October 7, 2016* This is a decent product but not great. the pictures are a bit misleading for the blackout shades i received however. it does not come with a valance of any kind and though the picture shows a totally clean installation all the way to the top of the window, in reality, you DO see the roll at the top. In my case as with anyone how put the shade inside the window frame and got the dark blackout color, it is white on one side and espresso on the other. so the roll at the top of the shade is white while the actual shade itself is espresso. not a big deal for me, but with no valance at all to speak of, it does tend to look "unfinished" honestly. a very simple valance would easily fix this "problem". the shade itself does block out all light that hits it, however there is expected light bleed on the side, even with casement windows. also unfortunately due to no valance and the way you have to install the shade, the is light leak at the TOP too.i found that the material could have been cut a bit better as well. it isn't a bad job at all, however the edges where it is cut are not "finished" in that there is no closing seem or anything. technically you could just buy the material and cut it with scissors to this level assuming you were good with scissors hehe..btw.. don't run with scissors. Also it is a corded shade with the roll up and down mechanism on one side and a cheap plastic clip on the bottom to hold it.this wasn't the cheapest product in this category, i picked mid range price because i thought i would get a few bonuses i wouldn't get with something "cheap". for the large window in this room, i went to my local big box store and found a blackout wooden slat shade for about half the price of this. it had a valance, and though the installation was a bit harder, the end result honestly does look better, and has only slightly worse light bleed"..i would save your money on this, head over to your local Lowes, and find something else, you may be surprised what you can get for a lot less money. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars I really like these shades *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2016* I really like these shades. They seem like a high quality material and keep the light out. The only thing I have a problem with was the size. Maybe I missed the instructions somewhere, but I measured my window, which was 36." I ordered the 35" width. When I put them up I thought it looked like more space on each side than a 1/2." I measured the shades and they were 34" wide. The paper they came with said they were 35."
