Much smaller and thinner than its gk-2b predecessor, the GK-3B is similar to its guitar counterpart, the gk-3, but catered for bass players. Review: Top Produkt - Top Produkt 100 % zufrieden. schnelle Lieferung ... gerne wieder Review: Want to make your playing more fun? Fed up of spending loads of dosh on analogue effects - This is an amazing item that can transform the way that you play your bass, however first thing's first you need to be aware that you need a GK compatible multi effects pedal or interface to use this such as the GI-20, GR-20 or GR-55. This pickup is easy to use and easy to install, It is mounted externally but you can choose an internal kit if you want to. The pickup can be mounted in one of 3 ways and comes with a clamp to help, how you install it will depend on what type of bass you own and the real estate available for mounting, however each one is very easy to do. Mounting the pickup itself onto the body can either be done with double sided tape & risers (depending on string height) that is included or via screw mounting. The controls (the unit itself that the GK & 6.3mm cable plug into) are mounted with the included mount, the cable is long enough to allow it to be mounted comfortably on most basses and can be wound into the control unit and comes with little clamps to hold it in place. Adjusting the GK-3B is easy. The packaging comes with a guide for string space (in case you need to make adjustments) and a screwdriver to help you do so. If you need to adjust for string spacing it's just a simple pull of a lever and a turn of a screwdriver. The GK-3B can also work as a standard pickup depending on what type of unit you plug it into, my GR-55 allows me to use the GK-3B as a pickup along with my regular pickups ontop of the two PCM synth sounds, while my GR-20 allows me to use my pickups, PCM or a mix of both. This is a really fantastic product and is worth it depending on issues you may have playing other intstruments. Take a further look at available interfaces before spending first if you're going to use it for external MIDI control, as my GR-55 has to be transposed down an octave via a DAW, so I imagine people using hardware synths may run into some issues. ## Features - Enables connection to synthesizers, such as Roland v-bass and gr-55 - Ultra-thin design - Large, smooth-action volume knob - Select switch for normal bass tone, Synth sound, or mixture of both - Attachment holder and double-sided tape included for easy installation ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000VJ2850 | | Back Material Type | Basswood | | Back material type | Basswood | | Body Material Type | Plastic | | Body material | Plastic | | Brand | BOSS | | Brand Name | BOSS | | Color | Black | | Colour | Black | | Connector Type | 1/4" instrument cable | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 69 Reviews | | Fretboard Material Type | Rosewood | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00761294087169, 04957054087166 | | Guitar Bridge System | Adjustable | | Guitar Pickup Configuration | S-S-S | | Hand Orientation | Right | | Included Components | Attachment holder, double-sided tape | | Instrument | Bass Guitar | | Instrument Size | Einheitsgröße | | Item Dimensions | 26.7 x 15.2 x 5.7 centimeters | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 26.7L x 15.2W x 5.7H centimeters | | Item Type Name | GK-3B | | Item Weight | 70 Grams | | Manufacturer | Roland | | Manufacturer Part Number | GK-3B | | Model Name | GK-3B | | Model Number | GK-3B | | Model Series | GK-3B | | Neck Material Type | Maple | | Neck material type | Maple | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Strings | 6 | | Top Material Type | Plastic | | Top material type | Plastic | | UPC | 761294087169 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | ## Product Details - **Back material type:** Basswood - **Body material:** Plastic - **Brand:** BOSS - **Colour:** Black - **Top material type:** Plastic ## Images ![Roland GK-3B Bass Divided Pickup, Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61L0qVxuXzL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: What's in the box?** A: Dave's answer is correct. Basically, the pickup and everything you need EXCEPT the 13-pin cable and synth (and guitar). I recommend that you initially attach with the sticky tape that comes in the box (using their shims if you need to adjust height) but then once you get it set up so that it tracks well, drill holes for the screws (they provide screws but not drill). Don't rely on the tape alone. The tape loosens up if you play an outdoor gig on a hot and humid day!!! So use the screws they provide. **Q: Do I need an external pedal to make it work, or does it make the piano and violyn sounds by it self?** A: you need an external pedal\FX unit that accepts the 13 pin cable. **Q: Does the roland gk-3b divided pickup for bass come with all the mounting hardware?** A: Hi. Yes. It comes with everything so you can mount it exterior. This is not the internal Kit. Just the external one. **Q: Will this work for 8 string guitar?** A: No. It’s designed to work with a four or five string bass. They make another model for guitars. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Top Produkt *by A***E on 23 January 2025* Top Produkt 100 % zufrieden. schnelle Lieferung ... gerne wieder ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Want to make your playing more fun?
