Review: Dogs LOVE it. - Dog(s) love it!!! One of our dogs, after she got the idea on the FIRST try (not needed to be lifted), just runs right up into the truck! We open it up, the dog goes right up, no prompting at all - and plenty of good traction. The other dog, needs to be told to 'come on up', before he'll go. Yes it gets scratched, but there's no loss of traction for the dogs. They don't need to dig the toenails into groves or ladder-like steps, the sandpaper like finish gives perfect, no slip traction. We opted for the longest ramp to keep the slope angle shallow - that was the right choice! 3 sections makes it pretty compact for a doggie ramp. I cannot imagine having to 'unfold' a ramp this big. It is very strong, sets up FAST, pretty compact, and people at parks are wowed by now easily the dogs climb and descend. Neither of our dogs have every done 'Agility' training, so they'd never, ever, seen a 'ramp' 'tunnel' or poles' before. This was a totally new experience for both dogs (Basset Hound & Swedish Vallhund). Another great thing, it's solid footing & doesn't twist or wobble back n forth like a narrower ramp would. Nor does it suddenly slide together, the thing is designed with a 'lip' like edge, making exiting / entering the ramp smooth & easy for our dogs. Our version is the 3 section one, it just slides apart, and slides back into a decent size package. That process of expanding & collapsing, much easier than I expected. I grab it with two hands, let it slide open & set one end on the edge of the truck's seat. That's all there is to it. To collapse, lift the edge off the seat, and it just slides back to compact, pick it up by the handle on the side, back into the bed of the truck. The ONLY wish it had, a carry handle on BOTH sides. It's got a snap-on-a-strap to keep it from expanding while carrying, only tried it once - because the wife asked, "That's that?" I'd recommend THIS type of dog ramp to anyone.
Review: Senior dog's saving grace!! - This is perfect. What else can I say?! I have a 12yo large dog with increasingly poor mobility due to her hip dysplasia and an old ACL injury. I have steps at all four entrances... not many, but even the 3-4 stairs can be hard on her worst days. I had tried a harness and other ways to assist, but those weren't working for us. THIS!!! This is saving her, and my back!! It is heavy. Very solid. Simple to use.. just slide the lower piece out until it's you want it. Again I have five steps at our deck to the backyard, which is where she goes in and out the most. Having the ramp at the top was a little too steep for her so I put it down one step but extended it all the way and that is perfect. I also used it to put her in my Toyota 4Runner to go to the vet. No problem at all!! The non-skid feet on the bottom securely sat on the bumper again extended it all the way out so that she could go up and then slid it together so that I could put it in the back what she was in the seat. Easy easy. It took about a day and a half for her to learn to use it. I would add that the steel rails and non-slip black matte help her see the ramp... (She also has impaired vision with senior dog cataracts which definitely impact her depth perception.) I just can't say enough about this that I know that it will last for longer than she will and is an absolute godsend. On her tired days I do still use a towel under her belly and help her up it, but otherwise she has been super happy to have the ability to go out into her yard and come back in as she pleases. **My old girl is 75 lb lab doberman mix. The ramp barely flexes when she walks up and down it so I'm sure would handle a dog larger. I just wish I'd found this sooner!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dogs LOVE it.

Dog(s) love it!!! One of our dogs, after she got the idea on the FIRST try (not needed to be lifted), just runs right up into the truck! We open it up, the dog goes right up, no prompting at all - and plenty of good traction. The other dog, needs to be told to 'come on up', before he'll go. Yes it gets scratched, but there's no loss of traction for the dogs. They don't need to dig the toenails into groves or ladder-like steps, the sandpaper like finish gives perfect, no slip traction. We opted for the longest ramp to keep the slope angle shallow - that was the right choice! 3 sections makes it pretty compact for a doggie ramp. I cannot imagine having to 'unfold' a ramp this big. It is very strong, sets up FAST, pretty compact, and people at parks are wowed by now easily the dogs climb and descend. Neither of our dogs have every done 'Agility' training, so they'd never, ever, seen a 'ramp' 'tunnel' or poles' before. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It can work with 60 degree small opening doors!

This is a well built ramp which I bought for my 7 year old 90 pound Shepherd Husky mix (Cooper). Although he doesn't really need it now, as he is just on the threshold of his senior years, he will need it in a few years. Plus the reduced price was an incentive. Right now I wanted to use it for when he is groggy after a dental and when I give him trazodone with gabapentin to calm him before getting his nails clipped. He is a big strong dog fights during nail trims otherwise! I was able to get this ramp in like new condition for $125 on Amazon. It is well built with the small cons listed by others such as location if the snap lock when collapsed, no actual lock when extended however gravity and dogs weight does hold it in place and it does not collapse. I wish the surface had carpet or rubber instead of the rough sandpaper covering. I read the sandpaper doesn't hold up and starts to peel off after a short time. I will probably replace or add a different material. Now my personal issue. I have a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 with a double cab. The double cab has a small narrow back seat and smaller door opening to 60 degrees instead of 90 and not allowing for the width of this ramp to fit. I considered either returning it or cutting about 18"-24" length of the metal side rails off making it more narrow on the end going into the truck but found a good work around. By putting the ramp on a angle and putting the left edge on the door lock latch striker while using the PetSafe Happy Ride Dog Rap Adaptor sold separately on Amazon, which clips on the ramp on the right side and clipping to the top of the door frame you have support on both ends of the ramp with minimal angle. I use the right rear passenger door for this. The other side would be reversed of course. I use a Ruff hard bottom extended back seat cover that includes door cover panels. You will most likely need some kind of door cover or protection to keep the ramp from scuffing the door. This $20 strap should have been included with the ramp. Just treats to get Cooper to go up and down at first until he got used to it. I would highly recommend this ramp but if you have a small access opening or a double cab (extended cab) pickup truck you may want to get one more narrow or use this work around. See attached pictures. Update: I removed the sandpaper surface which was quite easy out in the sun which was warm. Didn't need any tools at all. This material sits in a slight recess. I then purchased XGR Home & Garden Runner Rug 2 ft x 7 ft Indoor/Outdoor Low Profile and hd double sided carpet tape. This runner cut to lengths and widths of the recess uses most of the carpet. Was able to just use a pair if scissors to cut it. Once installed found the tape was pretty much useless. Once in the sun or hot vehicle it wouldn't hold and the carpet would come off. So I used small self tapping screws about 1/2 inch and screwed each sections corners and an extra along each edge center. They recessed right into the carpet and everything works perfect without binding at all. Retracts great! Note, I removed the 2 stops and on each side which are removed with a Phillips screwdriver to get the carpet which slides under the top to be under it a few inches then replaced the stops. This ramp now is perfect for my 90 pound Cooper. See additional before ansd after pictures.
