Review: Don't be put off by the shape, it's an excellent ladle - I needed a ladle for a vacation home and in the past only had ladles with more of a scooped, half sphere shape. But I purchased this anyway and it's performing much better than I expected. The more flat bottomed shape is very convenient, especially retrieving vegetables and other ingredients in soups more easily than the traditionally shaped ladles I've always used in the past. It's made well and a good size for regular kitchen use. The handle may be a bit short if you're doing institutional cooking in a very deep pot, but I don't think that's its intended use.
