We chose extra large (boys) just to be safe despite it saying 18-20. That part didn't seem right and we figured they might shrink a bit. We noticed right away 2 shirts were smaller than the other 2 and that the bigger ones would just fit. And when I washed them as per the instructions, they all shrunk drastically. I had to give them to my 9 yr old.
