As you ride the lock will sway and hit the frame. If the lock does become more difficult to open or gets stuck over time simply use some oil inside the plastic lock housing. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great lock, horrible mount *by A***. on Reviewed in the United States on 11 October 2018* This lock is very well designed. It needed a bit of chain grease both in the keyhole and on the ends of the shackle when I got it, but past that, you're getting top tier theft protection for roughly half the price of the competition.That being said, there is one thing about this lock that isn't so great, and that's the included mount. I will give Knog points for trying, but ultimately the mount is useless. It wraps around your bike with a rubber coated cloth strap that's adjustable via a ratcheting mechanism in the mount. The issue is that said mechanism doesn't stay in place during normal use, which means the mount becomes loose by simply taking the lock out or putting it back in. Then, to add insult to injury, the strap fell out of the mount when I took it off to inspect it. Very poor design.Thankfully, because most of the lock is coated in thick silicone, you can simply lock it around your frame as you ride. It may move a bit, but it won't scratch your ride as long as you give it some room. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Expensive, but worth the investment *by A***. on Reviewed in the United States on 9 June 2019* This is on the more expensive side for locks, but it’s worth the investment to keep your bike safe. I really like this lock because it looks pretty sweet and it built very well. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the mount piece doesn’t stay super snug on the bike frame. As a result, the lock can be move with a small nudge and can get in the way as you’re peddling. Other than that, this is a very solid lock and considering you get the mount piece included is another win. While I thankfully haven’t had this lock put to the test, I feel confident it will withstand any bike thief. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Knog Fahrradschloss Strongman Buegelschloss schwarz+rot *by M***N on Reviewed in Germany on 23 March 2013* Das Strongman Buegelschloss macht einen sehr soliden und sicheren Eindruck. Nicht umsonst schnitt das Schloss im Oekotest (02/2013) und in anderen Tests sehr gut ab. Wie im Test auch bemaengelt hackelt es beim Oeffnen ein wenig. Deshalb auch der Punktabzug.Das mitgelieferte Befestigungssystem ist wertig und laesst sich bei Herrenraeder sehr gut mit einem gummibeschichteten Nylonband per eingebauter Ratsche recht einfach montieren.Allerdings hat sich bei der 2. Montage, an einem Damenrad mit dickerem Rahmenteil, das Nylonband aus der Aufnahme in der Ratschenwelle geloest bzw. ist rausgerutscht. Ich konnte das Band zwar wieder befestigen, aber das war schon ein wenig diffisiel. (Keil rausdruecken und rausfummeln, Band reinfummeln und Keil wieder reinschlagen.)Achtung, bei Damenraeder "mit Durchstieg" ist es immer irgenwie im Weg und behindert beim Auf- bzw. Absteigen.
