You will notice a hole on the back of the pencil inside the cap the same size as the lead. The cap can be removed and you can use it to sharpen directly at the tip. **Q: Is this good for sketching fine line and shadow** A: I gave this as a gift to my granddaughter who drawers pictures and she loved them. Unfortunately that’s all I know. **Q: Is there a refill pack specifically for this set?** A: I don't know about refill packs. But there are extra lead for each size of pen in the set, plus colored lead and extra erasers. **Q: Can you use for doodling on watercolor design?** A: Yes you can use for doodling on watercolor. I paint acrylic paintings and us it for drawing on my paintings. The best part is it has .03 soft lead so when you need to erase it doesn't damage your painting. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice! *by on Reviewed in the United States September 28, 2026* the 0.3 lead breaks easily, but that's obvious. the colors are also very nice, and it's definitely worth the money! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very professional looking. *by on Reviewed in the United States September 16, 2026* Grandson loved his metal mechanical pencils. Looks just like the photo when they arrived. Exactly what I wanted for school coming up. Great value, all of the pens look so fancy and nice, and I love that there’s extra lead and erasers! They glide across paper nicely too.
