Then, the villagers are tempted with “The Mansion of the Gods” with all the modern luxuries of Rome when a new housing development threatens to urbanize (and Romanize) their humble tribe. Finally, it is a true Roman circus as Obelix and Asterix head to Rome to get a key ingredient to the Chieftain’s soup, Caesar’s Laurel Wreath. What will become of “Asterix and the Laurel Wreath” and will Rome ever be the same? These three classic graphic novels are newly translated especially for an American audience. Includes a new afterword by Alexander Simmons providing historical and cultural context for Asterix, both in 50 B.C. and in the time the classic comics were made addressing various racial depictions Review: Great book for kids and adults - The fact the same way to make that is a lot of different types and more people that don't own them in their minds because up for their kids being so sad to be honest and I have the ability the whole process has nothing o I think o Review: They are well written and beautifully illustrated, witty and very entertaining - I read these comics as a child over and over again. They are well written and beautifully illustrated, witty and very entertaining. The story follows the members of a small village in Gaul whom resist the Roman Empire by virtue of a super-strengthening potion brewed by their druid Getafix. The heros of the stories are Asterix ( a short, but smart warrior) and his best friend Obelix ( a large, boar meat loving, loyal but not smart warrior whom fell in a cauldron of magic potion as a child and as a result has permanent super strength). You can read each comic seperately and be able to follow the story, though certain characters do repeat throughout the series. I am buying them again as an adult and enjoying them just as much as I did as a kid. I definitely recommend these comics. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #962,943 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #839 in Children's Action & Adventure Comics & Graphic Novels #1,045 in Children's Humorous Comics & Graphic Novels #8,008 in Children's Humor | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 614 Reviews | ## Images ![Asterix Omnibus Vol. 6: Collecting Asterix in Switzerland, The Mansions of the Gods, and Asterix and the Laurel Wreath - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71b8DvQy22L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Media Format** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great book for kids and adults *by A***R on October 1, 2025* The fact the same way to make that is a lot of different types and more people that don't own them in their minds because up for their kids being so sad to be honest and I have the ability the whole process has nothing o I think o ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ They are well written and beautifully illustrated, witty and very entertaining *by B***K on October 5, 2014* I read these comics as a child over and over again. I read these stories years ago and still get enjoyment out of them. The facial expressions of the characters together with the humor is magic. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/317666490-asterix-omnibus-vol-6-collecting-asterix-in-switzerland-the-mansions](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/317666490-asterix-omnibus-vol-6-collecting-asterix-in-switzerland-the-mansions) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
