Some of the holes are now filled with debris by bees. Should I bring these inside now for the winter?** A: You can leave your insect house out year-round as being outside in winter mimics the natural environment these insects would encounter. If there is concern about exposure to extremely harsh elements or predation from birds, the entire house can be brought into an unheated garage or out-building. We do caution against putting the house in too warm of an environment as this could cause an early or premature hatch. I don't believe the bees have moved in yet either. **Q: Where is a good place to put it?** A: We put ours on the upper part of the wood fence facing the southeast. So in the sun. They Love it and it fills up, actually have 2 of them now. **Q: I heard that leaf cutter bees need at least 4 inch deep tubes. Are these deep enough to be successful homes for breeding?** A: I'd say this is accurate. There are 5-6 different diameter tubes but all are the same length.
